El Yapımı Mimì Tekne – Handmade Italian Craftsmanship
A true love for sea

The perfect synthesis of elegance and comfortable space

Cantiere Mimì was founded in Naples in 1975 by the Senese family, driven by their passion for the sea. Salvatore Senese, the company's founder and still present at the shipyard today, brought the shipyard to life by building their first boats, such as the 4.6-meter fiberglass spear.
As the customer base grows, so does the family business, and thanks to its organized dealer network and the collaboration of world-class engineers, the company expands beyond national borders.
The company's tradition is being passed down to new generations, including his son Domenico, who diligently works to perfect existing products by combining experience and innovation.
A winning combination was then created that would allow the brand to be exported to Europe (Italy, Spain, France, Croatia) and Asia.

What should be considered when buying a boat?

WHY Mimì

A boat is more than just a means of transportation; it's a private living space where you create unforgettable memories with your loved ones. The most important aspects of this special life, which you enjoy during certain times of the year, are regular maintenance and long-term trouble-free operation.

When we brought the Cantiere Mimì brand to Turkey, our primary focus was on reliability and durability. Mimì is a boutique manufacturer that carries out all production in its own shipyard, continuing the tradition of handcrafted Italian boats. The equipment used is from global brands with service networks worldwide. This ensures that you can easily find service and maintenance support for your boat while sailing in different cities, bays, or countries.
Customized Production Flexibility

One of Mimì's most important distinguishing features is its boutique production approach. Customization is possible according to individual needs.

One of the best examples of this is the special classic model produced for Vakko's gastronomy brand L'Atelier.
This specially designed vessel, featuring only a refrigerator and intended for service at sea, demonstrates both Mimì's durability and flexible manufacturing capabilities.
The Balance Between Tradition and Technology
For a truly enjoyable seaside experience, a boat should strike the right balance between technology and tradition. Mimì achieves this by remaining true to classic lines while also being equipped with modern engineering solutions.
All models utilize Yanmar diesel engines, whose reliability has been proven worldwide. Furthermore, all Mimì models are manufactured with a shaft drive system, considered the most reliable transmission system in marine applications. Shaft drive diesel engine system:
Motor
• More durable
• More stable on long journeys
• Maintenance costs are economical and predictable
• Long lifespan
Security is Priority

Thanks to the inboard shaft motor system, the propeller is located externally and protected, providing a safer experience in the cockpit area.

Diesel engines offer a lower risk of combustion compared to gasoline systems. This is a significant safety advantage, especially for family use.
Real Maritime Performance

Mimi 8.5 and above models have Category B (Offshore) CE certification.

This is not just marketing rhetoric; it's a maritime capability documented with official CE approval. Thanks to its deep V hull structure, it offers safe and stable navigation even in rough seas.
infusion

All carcasses produced at Cantiere Mimì are processed using a vacuum infusion process.

This is an advanced technique that has yielded significant results in terms of operator safety and environmental emissions. Thanks to the infusion method, the parts are formed into a composite with high-performance characteristics, reduced weight, and the correct resin/fiber ratio.
Furthermore, the thickness will be homogeneous, preventing the formation of air bubbles between layers. The mechanical properties of the laminate will be improved as a result of even compression through vacuuming.
Method

Thanks to combined expertise, Cantiere Mimì produces Gozzo in a traditional style using all modern technologies and innovative materials.

Gozzi Mimì is designed and manufactured in 3D and produced using 7-axis NC milling machines. Design is not an end in itself, but functional according to the needs of experienced yachtsmen. The materials are fine, the wood used is only experienced and hand-bent solid teak. And the passion is in the heart of someone who grew up in this shipyard and continues his work with the same enthusiasm he had as a child and the pride of forever associating his name with this wonderful adventure!
